Aelos Membership

A life in France, kept in order.

Membership is ongoing support for Americans already living in France. Your concierge knows your situation, stays ahead of the renewals and both countries' tax filings, and helps solve whatever comes up — bringing in the right specialist when needed. None of it lands on your kitchen table.

The heart of Membership

A concierge who untangles France for you.

Your concierge is a real person who already knows your situation. Forward the confusing letter, the expired login, the surprise fee — it comes back explained, and moving again. When something needs a specialist, we bring in the right one and manage it end to end, with the cost agreed before any work starts.

Included in every membership, all year — never billed by the question.

  • “My carte de séjour renewal is stalled. I don't know what to do.”
  • “I can't get to the CPAM English-speaking line. My login code has expired apparently.”
  • “My bank said they will close my bank account and I don't know what to do.”
  • “I heard I needed to file taxes in France as well, and I don't know where to start.”
  • “The police told me I can no longer drive with my US driver's license.”

Real questions from members. This is what the concierge is for.

What Membership does

Permits, taxes, healthcare — and whatever comes up.

Stay ahead

Nothing important gets missed.

We track the deadlines and paperwork that come with living in France — permit renewals, both countries' tax filings, healthcare paperwork — and start early, before anything turns urgent.

Solve problems

Whatever it is, you know who to call.

A confusing letter. A banking issue. A CPAM question. Instead of hunting for where to start — or waiting on an answer that never comes — you send it to someone who already knows your situation.

Coordinate specialists

The right expert, when you need one.

When it takes specialist advice — an immigration lawyer, a cross-border CPA, an estate planner — we bring in the right vetted partner and coordinate start to finish, with the cost agreed up front.

Always one step ahead

The year, already planned.

Deadlines move. Rules change. Membership stays ahead of both.

  1. January

We open tax season — both countries, one sequence.

  2. Spring

Our cross-border tax specialists prepare both returns; you review and approve before anything is filed.

  3. Summer

    Nothing. Enjoy France.

  4. Autumn

The US extension cutoff passes, and your avis d'imposition (the annual French tax notice) is archived — proof of income for future renewals.

  5. Five months before your permit expires

    We start your renewal.

  6. Year-end

A briefing on what's changing in US and French rules next year.

What's included

  • US tax filing by a licensed CPA — federal, one state return, FBAR & Form 8938
  • French annual tax return by a cross-border tax specialist, synced with the US side
  • Healthcare and mutuelle guidance
  • Banking setup and international transfers guidance
  • US & French filing-deadline calendar
  • On demand paid consultations with our vetted partners
Under the hood

How nothing slips.

Read on arrival

Upload a document and it's read on the spot: named, dated, filed to the right person, and checked against what French administrations actually require.

The calendar sets itself

Clocks arm themselves from your real dates. The renewal ladder runs from the expiry date on your actual card, not a date someone typed.

Watched while you live your life

The calendar around your file keeps moving. Software re-checks as deadlines approach and puts anything out of place in front of a specialist.

You don't have to keep watch anymore — someone who knows your situation does.

Aelos Membership
$3,500per household · per year

One membership covers your whole household — both countries' filings and every renewal.

Membership runs one year and never renews automatically — we'll invite you to renew before it expires. The year is prepaid and non-refundable, and one membership year includes one tax-filing year (the year your membership is active on December 31, Paris time). Tax filing covers the standard case: one US federal return, one state return where required, the French annual return, and standard foreign reporting. Anything beyond that is explained and priced with you before any work begins. The full scope is in our Terms of Service.

Membership questions

The questions people ask first.

Before you commit to anything

Talk it through with an Aelos advisor.

Thirty minutes, free, no pitch. A consultation often ends with “you don't need us yet” — and we consider that a good outcome. If Membership is the right fit, you'll leave knowing exactly what we'd take over, and when.
